Hi my name is Jacklyn Pellegrino and I’m a journalist with expertise in reporting, writing and editing. I earned my Master of Science in Journalism from Quinnipiac University in May 2025 where I also earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in May 2024.

 

My work mainly consists of feature pieces, lifestyle content, event coverage and long- form news. For INDUSTRY Magazine, I mainly write for the “Power Players” section where I feature notable business professionals and their careers.

In May 2025, I completed my master’s capstone article on how people are turning to thrifting amid tariff increases. It also detailed the negative effects of fast fashion.

During graduate school, I freelanced for Hearst Connecticut Media Group where I wrote feature pieces on small cafes in the Greater New Haven Area and took accompanying photos.

During undergrad, I wrote for the news and arts and life section of Quinnipiac’s newspaper, The Quinnipiac Chronicle. I later worked my way up the editorial board from copy editor to associate arts and life editor and finally to arts and life editor. I mainly featured student organizations on campus and notable professors. I also covered a variety of events such as the fall and spring concert and even wrote some pieces about on-campus news.

I’ve also done quite a bit of reporting on education as my undergraduate capstone article detailed what Hamden High School in Hamden, Connecticut was doing to help students boost test scores.
